Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 12, 2026

At Helpr Studio, we are committed to protecting the privacy of your family. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the Helpr mobile application and website.

1. Designed for Families and Kids

Helpr is a chore and activity tracker built for kids and parents. Because we design apps for children, we are extremely careful about data privacy.

2. Information We Collect

Parent Accounts:

To create a synchronized household account, we collect the parent's email address and name when signing up (either via email/password authentication or Google Sign-In). This information is used strictly to authenticate the parent account and allow synchronization of chore boards across multiple devices in your home.

Child Profiles:

Parents can create local child profiles inside the app. For these profiles, parents input a first name (or nickname) and choose a default avatar. We do not collect or request any personal identifiers (like emails, phone numbers, or social media links) from children.

App Data:

We store the list of chores, weekly activities, earned star points, and rewards that you customize in the app. This is stored securely in Firebase so that chores can be synced in real-time between parents' and kids' devices.

3. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

Helpr is designed to comply fully with COPPA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Parents have absolute control over the creation, editing, and deletion of all child profiles and chore lists. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete such information.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your household data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore & Authentication). We enforce strict security rules that ensure only authenticated members of your household can access your chores, rewards, and profiles.

5. Your Rights & Deletion

You have full control over your household data. At any time, you can edit or delete child profiles, chore logs, and settings inside the app. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, you may request account deletion by emailing us at [email protected].

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page whenever modifications are made.
